The Akkuyu NPP is located on the southern shore of Turkey. The Akkuyu NPP was constructed according to the Russian project including construction and startup of four power generation units. Agreement on power plant construction was signed in May 2010. Akkuyu NPP construction project in Turkey is the first world NPP Project implemented according to BOO model (Build-Own-Operate). Russian contractors perform engineering, construction, maintenance, operation and decommissioning of the power plant. The main scope of equipment and high-tech products supply for project implementation accounts for Russian enterprises. The project provides for maximum involvement of Turkish and other companies in construction and installation works.
